You don’t have to keep carrying this alone. If anxiety feels overwhelming, trauma affects your sense of safety, or your relationship feels strained and disconnected, meaningful healing is possible. I specialize in working with adults (18+) and couples who want relief from emotional distress and practical tools for lasting change. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have extensive experience treating anxiety and PTSD, including emotional, mental, and sexual trauma. I also work closely with couples navigating communication breakdowns, persistent conflict, and relational wounds using evidence-based approaches to help partners reconnect to strengthen their relationship.
My counseling style is collaborative, strengths-based, and holistic. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT), Systems Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Adlerian theory most often, and I am trained in Levels 1 and 2 of the Gottman Method for couples. When helpful, I incorporate creative and expressive approaches such as journaling, art, and music therapy. I am looking forward to offering animal-assisted therapy in the near future. For clients who desire it, Christian faith integration is available and always guided by your preferences. We will move at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and empowering to you. I believe healing happens when you feel understood, encouraged, supported, and equipped to take your next steps towards healing. I would be honored to witness your emotional wellness experience as your counselor today.
Outside the therapy room, I have been married for over 19 years and have a deep love for people, animals, and nature. I enjoy board games, baking, and creating spaces where people feel welcomed and cared for personally. I believe everyone deserves compassionate, competent mental health support and I would be honored to witness your growth towards healing and emotional wellness.
